William Jewell College Volleyball strives to create a fun, energetic, and competitive atmosphere during every practice and match. That excitement will help young athletes to learn about the sport of volleyball, and how it is enjoyable to work with other players and make new friends while you are at it!
Camp Director, Coach Raynes, was named head volleyball coach at William Jewell College in 2014. The top assistant at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX for the previous two years, Raynes brings several years of NCAA Division II experience to the Cardinal volleyball program. In her first year at Tarleton, she helped the team to its best record in school history, 23-9; in that same year Tarleton received its first ever NCAA regional ranking. She has been an integral part of recruiting student-athletes to Tarleton State. Raynes was part of a very successful volleyball program at Washburn University as a student-athlete. During her four-year playing career, Raynes and the Lady Blues made four trips to the NCAA tournament, sporting an overall record of 130-22.
A native of Lawrence, Raynes also has experience in the high school ranks as the head coach at Shawnee Heights High School in Kansas. Along with Coach Raynes, her support staff has great experience working with the youth in Liberty and surrounding areas. Raynes and her assistant, Kyle Bradley, coach a 13U USAV Club team for Liberty Explosion.
